Of Mages and Rebellions
Adella Trevelyan is a child of the esteemed minor noble house, though being a pious family she's mostly the "hidden shame." She grew up within the Ostwick Circle, and while it is a subdued place if anyone were to ask Adella strived to make it less-so. She was often in trouble with the senior enchanters, and a favorite to any scared orphan mage who found their way into the Circle. It was a surprise that when the mages rebelled she remained behind as she always longed for a life outside the walls, but she made it clear quickly she had only stayed to protect the younger mages and those afraid to join the rebel mages. When a delegation was formed to join the conclave she went along, though her group is held up by bandits on the road, and they reach Haven after the destruction at the Temple of the Sacred Ashes.
Haven	Skyhold
Adella can be found in Haven after the opening, just outside the gates with a small group of mages. She won't be recruitable until after the Inquisitor returns from Val Royeaux, as her focus is on making sure the young mages she's travelling with are safe. If the Inquisitor is a Trevelyan, she will have dialogue options as a sibling. Once the Inquisitor returns from Val Royeaux, Adella will approach him or her, asking to help them fight, now that the mages are settled in and being cared for by a chantry sister. From that point on, she can be found near one of the houses by the gate of Haven.	In Skyhold, Adella will be found in a few different places, depending on NPC friendships and state of repairs. She'll start off in the main hall. Once the repairs on the keep progress, she will move to the abandoned tower between where the tavern is and Cullen's tower. If a Mage Tower is built, she can also be found there for some of her conversations.

Broken Circles Adella will ask the Inquisitor once she's recruited to look out for missing mages, groups that left circles that she heard of, and either never checked in with where they were headed or had communicated no clear plans. They can be found in the Hinterlands, Exalted Plains, and Emprise du Lion. Six groups of mages altogether can be found, though some of them will be diseased. Recovered mages will join Skyhold's population. Mage's Right Once her approval is high enough, Adella will ask the Inquisitor for assistance in a personal matter, regarding the mage rebellion. One of the girls that she brought with her to Haven left after they found Skyhold, and has fallen in with the Venatori. Adella thinks she can be reasoned with, and asks the Inquisitor to accompany her to where Leliana's people have located her, to attempt to talk her into coming back to Skyhold. The Venatori hideout that the girl is in is a dump, blood magic evident everywhere, and several Venatori agents will have to be killed before they find her. She's being used as a conduit for blood magic rituals, attempts to access the fade from the mortal realm to assist Corypheus. After killing the remaining Venatori, the Inquisitor can either encourage Adella to end the girl's suffering, or bring her back to Skyhold where she can be cared for by the healers. If the former option is picked, and the Inquisitor is romancing Adella, she will end the romance with him after plunging a dagger into the girl's heart herself. Heart of Glass Despite her usually brash and humorous nature, if the Inquisitor is romancing Adella she'll reveal a more fragile side, a woman who has never let herself fall in love because of the risk of a mage loving someone. She'll confess at length how reluctant she is to put herself in that kind of situation, or the Inquisitor, and there will be an opportunity to either break off the relationship, or confirm it, locking the Inquisitor permanently into a relationship with her. As an expression of her devotion to this new path for them, Adella will give the Inquisitor a ring on a chain, the Enchanter's ring she received when she passed her harrowing.	Specialization: Force Magic. Varric Nickname: Freckles Orientation: She can be romanced by males or females of elven, qunari, or dwarven backgrounds. Humans are unavailable because they are related. If not romanced by an Inquisitor, she will fool around with a few different characters and conversations will come up in ambient dialogue.
